ABOUT ME
I’ve been a professional Engineering Consultant since 2001. I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for the best possible outcomes. When you work with me, you should expect a collaboration with transparency and consistency. I am usually accompanied with my little dog, Piglet, who is a welcome addition on most sites. I have experience delivering projects and tenders on 5 continents and while I am currently based in the UK I am happy to travel to support your business.
CONSULTING SERVICES
I work with clients, providing a range of tendering and construction services which cater specifically to their needs. I can be flexible to either work remotely in a self-sufficient manner delivering on the objectives that you define or integrating with your existing team to find the solutions together. The majority of my experience is in estimating and tender management however I am also experienced in design management and supporting construction teams to manage complex issues, manage risk and train the team.
DESIGN MANAGEMENT
I have experience managing multi-designer projects from concept to completion including value engineering development, construction risk management and approval management.
FIRST PRINCIPLES ESTIMATING
From small domestic building renovations to major multi-faceted civil engineering projects and everything in-between I am here to assist you in building up a price from first principles that you can deliver successfully.
TENDER MANAGEMENT
My skills and experience are available to support your tendering team in every aspect of the tender process including bid writing and bid management.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
I have experience being integrated with a Construction Team delivering complex infrastructure projects. The key part of my role was to manage the onsite batching facility from the mobilisation, throughout commissioning and delivery and finally the demobilisation. This included management of the concrete delivery from the plant to placement inclusive of setting up the procedures for communication, call-off, testing, rejection and management of supply materials. I trained the shift teams and had an on-call role to support them 24/7 with issues associated with concrete specification or delivery.
